Our preschools are open from 9am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday during school term and school holidays.
Can my child attend preschool more than two days a week?
Yes. Children can attend Best Start preschools up to three days a week, depending on availability.
Are there enrolment age limits for preschools?
Best Start preschools welcome children as young as 2.5 years if their birthday is before 31 July, not just in the year before school.
Do you offer free preschool?
Yes. Best Start offers two free days of preschool at our services. A third day can also be accessed at minimal cost, making high‑quality early learning more accessible for families.
Can my child attend a Department of Education preschool and a Best Start preschool?
Yes. Enrolling your child at a Department of Education preschool does not affect your child’s eligibility for Start Strong funding. Families can attend a Department of Education preschool and enrol with a Best Start preschool, using their Start Strong funding with us.
Will enrolling with Best Start affect my child’s Start Strong funding?
No. Enrolling with Best Start does not impact your child’s Start Strong funding eligibility. Our team is happy to talk through your options and help you choose what works best for your family.
