The children at Canley Vale ELC had a great educational experience during their trip to Cabramatta library. We believe such outings provide valuable opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.

With parent volunteers and our Educators, the children we able to walk to the library which allowed them to engage with their local community, observe nature and practice important social skills, like saying "Thank you", to people who safely stopped their cars. The children had a delightful experience and were very curious, asking questions about plants and flowers along the way!

Once at the library, the children participated in singing, dancing and listening to stories read to them by the librarian. They also had the opportunity to pick their own books to read and utilise iPads during their free time.

The children learned about road safety and connecting real-world experiences with important practical knowledge. This excursion gave the children an opportunity to explore their local community, discover available resources and make connections to the broader world. We believe such experiences contribute significantly to their holistic development.
